I went to Bali during the G20
Before I decided to go to Bali, people be like:
"No way, you can't go there during the G20. The airport will be closed for commercial flights."
"It's gonna be crowded, traffic jam, police and guards are everywhere. You're not gonna enjoy it."
Well, that might have happened to some people who came on the day before my arrival, but it didn't happen to me. I went to Bali from Jakarta on November 16th 2022, which is the last day of the event.
First of all, I flew with Indonesia's new airline called TransNusa. As with any other LCC airline, TransNusa provided free 20kg baggage, 7kg cabin baggage, no free meal, and no entertainment. But, I got a free bottle of water in a small size. I don't know why did I get that and the people who sat next to me didn't get anything, maybe because I did an online check-in. It was nice, new experience, and also cheap.

When I landed in Bali, I saw some state guest planes (states that participated in G20) parked at Ngurah Rai airport. But the situation in the airport was calm and not crowded. After that, I took Grab Car from the airport to the hotel. The situation was not that crowded on the road, I didn't find any heavy traffic jams, it was nice and fun but a bit rainy.
When I arrived at the hotel, I had lunch with my good friend (shout out to Cindy) in Nasi Tempong Indra, located in Kuta. We ate a plate of rice, fried chicken, vegetables, tofu, tempeh and their special sambal tempong (highly recommended!). They even sell a jar of sambal, because it is seriously the best sambal. Note: It is so delicious, one portion is not enough! Unfortunately, I don't have any picture of the meal, you guys can search it on Google "Nasi ayam tempong Bali" it's mouthwatering especially when you're starving.
I stayed in a nice hotel in Jambuluwuk Oceano Seminyak Hotel. The hotel is great, it has a swimming pool, playground area, gym, spa, the staff and service are nice and friendly, the room is clean, tidy and very nice, and breakfast is basic but still good. I would also definitely recommend this too to you.

We mostly visited some restaurants and a beach club. We also ate nasi campur Bali, it is a plate of rice, fried chicken, tempeh, sate lilit, sambal, egg and more but I forgot, LOL 😅. It was also delicious and cheap, I ate that in the small restaurant near my hotel, again, I forgot the name of the restaurant.

When you're traveling don't forget to buy something to enjoy when you're back home. Some souvenirs, foods, and everything represent the place you visit. In Bali, there are so many local stores, but if you want to buy some souvenirs I think you have to go to Krisna. The place is big and it has many outlets in Bali. You can find anything that represents Bali, such as food, clothes, accessories, and more. Many tourists buy the 'Bali thing' there. Again, while I was visiting a tourist area, the G20 didn't bother me. It feels like there was no big event there. That's because I went to Bali on the last day of the event.
Actually, there are so many beautiful places in Bali that you have to visit. Unfortunately, I only can give you a bit of reference because it was just a short trip. I didn't visit many places. I wish I can stay longer in Bali. But soon, definitely will visit Bali again to explore more. I came back to Jakarta with AirAsia. It was a nice experience to fly with AirAsia. But my flight was rescheduled by them. I don't know why. But, it didn't bother me, so I'm fine.
So, where to go next? Suggest me some cool places!😃
